On Saturday 25 February, the Puigcerdà sports hall hosted the 26th edition of the Trinxat Fest. Carlit supported the festival, giving away 1000 portions of Trinxat.
This is the main gastronomic event in the county and a must for lovers of local cuisine, and has become a multitudinous gathering in the heart of winter, with a gala dinner that serves as a showcase for local gastronomy and Km0 products such as winter cabbage and potatoes.
In addition to the trinxat, the dinner also included a tasting of Pyrenean cold meats and cheeses, as well as starters and cod as main courses, cooked in this case by the Cuina Pirinenca de Cerdanya collective. For dessert, the now typical cream swans made by 6 patisseries from all over the valley.
The evening included different raffles and live music by the Stressband Orchestra.
Ramon Maria Rosell Candáliga, announcer of Radio Puigcerdá, was in charge of presenting the event.
The Trinxat Fest is organised by Puigcerdà Town Council and the Municipal Tourist Board, with the collaboration of Girona Provincial Council, the Cuina Pirinenca de Cerdanya association, various restaurants, confectioners, suppliers and establishments in Puigcerdà and the county, the Adis foundation, the INS Pere Borrell and the Puigcerdà trade association.
